Castine 2012

I've had a wonderfull time at Castine and made something for the exhibition and the auction overthere. The first picture shows my donation to the IGMA for the auction night. She was sold during the auction for a neat price and I know she will have a very good new home! I hope they will enjoy her very much I enjoyed making her

The next pictures show you the roombox which I made for the curtain to show at the exhibition.
This curtain and the silk that I've used on the walls will be used for the livingroom in my dollhouse.
It won't be exactly the same but it gives you an idea of the color scheme that I will use for it.

And ofcourse I made another doll to put in this roombox for the exhibition along with a nice flower arrangment(sory not on the picture). Her dress was a lot of fun to make and the picture doesn't show it. But her dress is a grey color in which there are silver shiny sparkles......which gives it a rich look

My next post will afcourse be about the week at Castine along with some pictures and the results of my workshops.

  3. Hallo Jeffry!

  5. Hey, Jeffry!
Your dolls are absolutely incredible! From head to toe --simply breathtaking. And I'm loving your draperies, too! Did you use a 'Pretty Pleater?' (That name is so funny). I just made my first curtains and I see I will need some more practice before I can get mine to look as beautiful as yours. Looking forward to hearing about Castine...

  6. Hey John,
Glad to hear you like the dolls! Her shoes are made of real leather ofcourse. Thank you...and yes I used the PP for the curtains...but not for the draperies in front of the curtains. It does take a bit of practice making curtains but I'm sure you can do it as well! Just use natural fabrics never synthetic ones it just doesn't work.

  7. I love your work in the roombox. The draperies look great. Keep up the good work.

  8. It was lovely to have met you! And all your creations too, they were really stunning. The room box is a delight, as i just love the subtle colors scheme. And I have no doubt your auction-doll will be very loved by her new "Mom & Dad". She's a real character :)

  9. @Troy: it was just a tiny roombox to show the curtain maybe I can use it for something else in the future.

@Debora: It was great fun haveing class with you. And your dolphin table is just perfect! Thank you about my color choices ;)Yes they will be happy with her I'm sure...but it sure is quiet now!

  10. Fantasticos trabajos.
Seguro que tu muñeca sera feliz en su nueva casa.
